On Friday 6th March 1998 I was back at the Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education Park Campus Student Union Bar to see THE CAVERN BEATLES.

This was the second time I had seen this band, the first being in November 1997 at the Graduation Ball. Although called THE CAVERN BEATLES they dressed and performed the songs mainly from the 1963-1966 period of THE BEATLES.

Tracks performed on the night included I FEEL FINE, HELP, SHE LOVES YOU, TICKET TO RIDE, I SAW HER STANDING THERE, TWIST AND SHOUT, EIGHT DAYS A WEEK, WE CAN WORK IT OUT, HEY JUDE and LET IT BE.

The line-up for THE CAVERN BEATLES was:-

• EDDIE McCLAINE = John Lennon
• DEREK STRATTON = Paul McCartney
• RICK ALAN = George Harrison
• ROY HITCHEN = Ringo Starr

I actually felt that they were a lot better this time, infact I would probably say they were better than THE BACKBEAT BEATLES, but they were still not a touch on the SGT. PEPPER'S band.
